Coaches Age 18+
All coaches are required to complete the appropriate compliance process before being approved to participate in any CYO Athletics program. These requirements help ensure a safe, organized, and supportive environment for all youth athletes, families, and volunteers.
Compliance requirements vary based on the coach’s age, and all required documentation must be completed and uploaded to the coach’s TeamSideline profile. Coaches who do not complete the required steps or upload proof of completion will not be considered compliant and may not be approved to coach.
TeamSideline Registration
1. All Coaches will need to go to athletics.cccyo.org, and create an account. THIS ONLY NEEDS TO BE DONE ONCE. Also note you may not have DUPLICATE accounts. All completed compliance documents will be uploaded to the profile on the account.
2. Coaches will have to enroll in each specific sport(s) they will be coaching. Please go to our website and navigate to PROGRAMS. Then select the "VOLUNTEER" button for the desired sport to complete the form.
Fingerprinting Through CYO
All Athletic Directors, Coaches, volunteers and other adults or contractors in regular contact with children must be fingerprinted. Fingerprinting is mandatory for any adult in regular contact with children. No one may commence their duties associated with Catholic Charities CYO Athletics in any capacity until fingerprints have been completed and they have been cleared by Catholic Charities CYO Athletics. Anyone in violation of this policy may be suspended from the program.
Effective 5/8/2019, Catholic Charities CYO Athletics requires that
all individuals be fingerprinted through Catholic Charities and operate in accordance with our volunteer policies. The Archdiocese school and parish fingerprint forms are NOT accepted.

Fingerprinting can be done at any of the Live Scan sites listed below. Please be sure to bring the Catholic Charities Live Scan form (download above) to your preferred site. You must complete the form and take all three of the following steps:
- Keep a copy for your records.
- Send a copy to your organization’s Athletic Director.
- Upload a copy to your TeamSideline profile.
Your form is not considered submitted until you have uploaded it to TeamSideline.

Virtus "Protecting God's Children"

PLEASE NOTE: Virtus training is valid for 3 years. Upon expiration, each user should receive an email notification to take "A Plan to Protect God's Children 4.0 Recertification". This renewal course is approximately a 40-minute time commitment. If you are unable to locate how recertify, contact your program's Athletic Director to find next steps.
